A graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr. Jeremy Hines completed his orthopedic surgery residency at The Mayo Clinic and a fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction at the University of Virginia, where he also earned his undergraduate degree.
Dr. Hines is board certified and his primary areas of specialization include total hip and knee arthroplasty, including revisions, as well as treatment of periprosthetic joint infection and fractures, robotics and other new technologies in adult joint reconstruction. He is fully certified in Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery for total knee replacement.
Throughout his medical education and training, Dr. Hines participated in numerous studies on issues related to joint replacement, and published many articles on his research. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and the American Medical Association.
Physicians who are Mako and/or ROSA certified are credentialed and able to perform surgery at any of the regional facilities that have these robotic-assisted surgery systems, including but not limited to: Brunswick Surgery Center in Leland, NC; Novant Health (formerly New Hanover Regional Medical Center) in Wilmington, NC; and Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport, NC.
