Set Out Time: 6:00 AM

Garbage Pickup

Container: Garbage should be bagged & tied, and placed within customer-provided carts or cans.

Frequency: Once per week.

Materials Accepted: Non-hazardous municipal solid waste, no construction material or yard waste.

Recycling

Container: 95-Gallon Cart (yellow lid)

Quantity: One (1) single-stream recycling cart.

Frequency: BiWeekly

Materials Accepted:

Plastics (#s 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7); steel food containers, aluminum cans and bakeware; mixed paper (such as newspaper, magazines, junk mail, office paper, drink cartons; fiberboard and flattened cardboard (2 ft x 3 ft or smaller); and green, brown, or clear glass bottles and jars (without lids).

items should be clean, empty, and dry. Do NOT put recycling in plastic bags. Keep paper items together by putting into paper bags or empty fiberboard/cardboard boxes

Yard Waste Pickup

Quantity: Five (5) cubic yard limit per week — roughly 30, 32-gallon garbage bags.

Frequency: Once a week.

Materials Accepted: Must be completely natural and vegetative. NO manufactured wood material, such as plywood and NO treated or painted wood, such as fencing or landscape timbers.

Weight Limits: No single item or container can weigh more than forty (40) lbs.

Limbs, logs and stumps must be five (5) feet or less in length and less than six (6) inches in diameter.

Bulk Waste Pickup

Container: Collected weekly with your garbage.

Materials Accepted: Objects too big for the garbage cart, e.g., toilets, sinks, mattresses, carpet, and fencing.

Weight Limits: Safe for two people to lift.

White Goods / Appliance Pickup

Frequency: Must be scheduled in advance by calling (904)630-CITY (2489) or online at MyJax.CustHelp.com.

Weight Limits: Call for details.

Appliance doors must be securely closed or detached, with food and materials removed. Tire collection is limited to four (4) standard vehicle tires, with or without rims.
