I typically rate Publix with 4-5 stars. This store is newer and a large version of Publix. Clean and a self-check out. The problem I encountered which is where many Publix lack and fall short, especially in the late day/ evening time, is the deli counter. But this deli had no meatballs available, no hot honey wings, no plain rolls, multi grain was hard as a rock, no chicken tenders and 1 person to work both sandwich/deli counters. There is another hot food deli counter but its across the bakery area. The deli clerk had to walk over to the hot counter to check for my order. Worst setup I've seen and I've been to appx 50 Publix throughout the southeast U.S. working with Instacart so I am very familiar with their store layouts. Employees were voicing concerns over management hiding in the office and not helping when it was needed. Not enough staff especially in the evening. This is the first Publix I've been to and heard or seen that. Typically managers are out on the floor doing the work with their subordinates and visible.
