CARTOON ANSWER:
AFTER ACCIDENTALLY DRIVING OVER THE TIRE SPIKES, THEIR FRONT TIRES LOST AIR IN – – –
OST DCA NNO ELEF = ONE SECOND FLAT
Good Morning, Everyone…🛞TIRE STRAITS?🛞
🎶 Down the road and over the hill (uh huh)…I took my baby ridin’ in my automobile (yeah)…Just ridin’ along, me and my heart’s desire….Hsssss…a FLAT TIRE…🎶…”Flat Tire” – The Del-Vikings 1956 https://tinyurl.com/5ctb47jf
🛞 These tires now…complete DECAY…and no place for BELIEF,
That this occurrence isn’t going to cause our couple grief..
The JOIST they felt, oh sorry…jolt’s what I meant to say…
(And try as I might, MINNOW?…it’s not swimming today)
Maybe our two were talking…engrossed in this and that…
Whatever was the reason…Tires ruined…ONE SECOND FLAT… 🛞
…I mean WAYing the odds…how OUTlandish is this?…
So…Today we find ourselves in a parking lot…witnessing a man who may be TIREd, or distracted, or confused…but most likely just in WAY too much of a rush….And with our question giving us “spikes”, “tires” (= the first and SECOND ones) and “lost air” ( = getting a FLAT), not to mention our dialogue of “so fast” ( = a split SECOND)…we had no need to go OUT of our WAY to get this one. When that car hit the spikes? It lost air…in ONE SECOND FLAT. https://tinyurl.com/msy8tuwn …And yep…we NAILed this WHEELY easy one in no time FLAT…We AUTO know by now that Tuesday puzzles are always a breeze…
Jeff’s💎Gems? The light pole in the background, the Jumble license plate, the signage reading: Parking, Stop, One Way, complete with the arrow ⬅️, and if you look closely, a spike…But most of all, Mike Ehrmantraut https://tinyurl.com/yu4t3jde from “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” manning the booth…Both shows? They were A HIT, MAN…
So…There you have it, Folks…Done. Have a good one. Be well, be kind, stay safe…And I was going to leave you with a tale about my friend who took a job as a parking attendant…but I’m feeling TIREd…EXHAUSTed in fact…and right now even a bit DEFLATED to boot. So, I’m going to SPARE you…AIRS hoping I can gain some TRACTION to give me a good start OUT OF THE GATE tomorrow…🛞🙋🏻♀️
…AND OUT OF THE ARCHIVES…The puzzle of October 13th, 2020. JEYNO! 🔠🙋🏻♀️ https://tinyurl.com/zbxm6bkt
🤦🏻♂️With his tooth now in serious DECAY, and the JOIST he was working with not fitting into place, the BELIEF that he’d join them on the MINNOW fishing trip after work went up in smoke…in ONE SECOND FLAT… 🤦🏻♂️
🤦🏻♂️The company a MINNOW now…the years had bought DECAY,
The business one of JOIST sales…but BELIEF got in the way
The owners overlooked too long the little this and that…
Thought everything was fine…until…debt in ONE SECOND FLAT!🤦🏻♂️

🚙 When you’re driving attention is key,
Not the time for distracting ennui…
And if you’re in a lot,
You always need spot…
The ins and the outs…to a T…🚙
🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♂️People searching for spots and it’s tough,
And not finding one causes a huff…
But your eyes need be peeled,
When you’re behind the wheel…
Or like our couple here….things get rough…🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♀️
🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♂️We are hearing they were in a rush,
Maybe trying to beat traffic’s crush….
But not paying no mind,
They quickly did find…
Their tires have now turned to mush…🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♀️
🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♂️How they’ll get out of this…well who knows,
Obviously they’ll need to be towed…
But Folks needing get in?
Def a case of chagrin…
‘Cause there’s no way now of going fro…🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♀️
🛑 Hope a lesson is learned from this mess,
That while parking lots can bring on stress…
One must stay eagle-eyed,
And be sure not to ride…
Towards the wrong gate to make your egress! 🛑
Welcome back me and taco-Tuesday ! I took a 2 day break to handle a busy schedule at home , but glad to get back , especially with a great taco-Tuesday jumble ! All the anagrams were there for me ! The jumble with the tires running over sharp spikes , I knew it looked like they could only last a second ! So the jumble came right to me ! And I hope you’re feeling better Angela , your song and everything of David and Jeff’s expertise as always was very respectful ! So let’s go with a winning week of solves and have a great Tuesday !!!!!
Tks, Jim 🛞🙋🏻♀️
Well…that wasn’t too hard to figure out, so I steamrolled through the puzzle today. That’s always good for a confidence builder for when the stumpers come along. FLAT was the key, then ONE SECOND popped into my brain.
Angela, didn’t know you were under the weather…but I’ll add my thoughts to hoping you’re feeling better, too. Enjoy your Taco Tuesday. Terry
Thank you, Terry 🛞🙋🏻♀️
Fun Tuesday Jumble. Thank you for the music choice today Angela. I knew the Del-Vikings but never heard that song before. Have a great day. Stan
YW, Stan…and tk you 🛞🙋🏻♀️
I paused on the cartoon answer after a quick solve of the anagrams but then the solution popped into my mind for a quick solution! Chuck.
I got a FLAT as part of the answer but couldn’t make a GO of the rest.
Looks like nearly half of the other Jumblers had a hard time TREADing on this one as well.
