Responsibilities
Probate matters include handling estate issues, such as:
- Probate of a will
- Administrations
- No administrations
- Years support
- Guardianships of minors and incapacitated adults
- Safekeeping of wills

Fee Schedule
Fees for probate matters are as follows.
Administration Fees
These fees are assessed if the deceased did not have a will:
- 4 plus per page recording
- 0 for publication for four weeks
- each for sheriff's service if needed
Dismission
These fees are for closing the estate after all matters are taken care of after six months:
- + per page
- for one week publication
- for sheriff's service if needed
Executorship
These fees are assessed if the deceased had a will:
- 4 plus per page recording
- for publication if all heirs do not sign (4 weeks)
- for sheriff's service if needed
Guardianship of a Child
- plus per page recording
- for publication if needed (2 times)
- for sheriff's service if needed
Guardianship of an Incapacitated Adult
- 9 plus per page recording
- for publication if needed
- for sheriff's service if needed
No Administration
- 4 plus per page recording
- 0 for publication for four weeks
- for sheriff's service if needed
Safekeeping of Wills
