Paul Guerriero, MD., FAAO

Dr. Guerriero is a Board certified Ophthalmic Surgeon specializing in Retina and Vitreous diseases and Uveitis.

Dr. Guerriero received his medical degree in 1983 from Downstate Medical Center. He has extensive clinical and surgical experience from the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary where he received his Residency training in Ophthalmology. As a third year resident, he won the prestigious Louis Girard Award which is given to the graduating senior who has made a significant contribution to ophthalmic research.

Dr. Guerriero continued his specialty training in Atlanta, Georgia in the field of Retina, training under Dr. Bill Hagler and Dr. William Jarrett. Upon finishing his training Dr. Guerriero started clinical vitreoretinal practices in the tri-state area. Dr. Guerriero is licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. He is a member of the American Retina Specialists. With over 30 years of history in private practice, his experienced in medical and Surgical Retina is extensive. His major professional interests are in the areas of Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy.
