It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Craig Russell Deuel, husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and respected member of the community. He passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on April 2, 2025 at the Royal C Johnson Veterans Memorial Hospital, in Hospice Care, Sioux Falls, SD. Born on December 12, 1954 in Worthington, MN, Craig served honorably in the US Army where he specialized in dentistry during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Alaska. After his military service, Craig went on to open his first business, Deuel Dental Laboratory in 1978, where he spent countless hours there to ensure its success. Craig closed the laboratory in 2005. In Craig’s earlier years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the drums and being on the water. He loved spending time with his family and vacationing in Spicer, MN. In his later years, Craig became part of the AA community. The fellowship gave him purpose, in his recovery journey, where he developed many cherished friendships.
