‘Teen Mom 2’ Alum Kailyn Lowry Always Kept It Real About Her Plastic Surgery Transformation [Photos]

Neck

The Pothead Haircare founder let Dr. Miami document her body makeover on his Snapchat. One of the many procedures she got that day was neck liposuction and the before and after photos above show how her appearance changed afterward.

“My decision to get plastic surgery came down to one simple thing: I’m human,” she wrote in her book Hustle and Heart. “I care how I look. I knew that being satisfied with my outer appearance would give me the confidence I needed to face the world head on. For me, the things that I wanted to change about my body were nagging little distractions from the deeper missions I wanted to work on.”

Lips

In 2016, Kailyn got lip injections courtesy of Dr. Susan Evans and she appeared to love her plumper pout.

“Tried to get lip fillers and had a reaction,” she tweeted in 2016. “You should have seen them without lipstick.”

Booty

Kailyn got a Brazilian butt lift that same year and it enhanced her hourglass curves.

“A fat transfer is where I take fat from areas of the body where you don’t want it — like your tummy, your back, your love handles — and I put it in your butt and so it does two things,” Dr. Miami exclusively told In Touch.

“For years I struggled with eating disorders, and I was extremely self-conscious about my weight,” she wrote in her book. “I’d committed so thoroughly to working out and maintaining a healthy diet, but it was clear there was only so much I could do to change the shape of my body.”

Hips

Although Kailyn didn’t get implants, her fat transfer transformed her behind rather dramatically. “You get a bigger booty [with a fat transfer]!” the plastic surgeon added. “It’s a great operation.”

Stomach

During her body makeover, Kailyn also got a tummy tuck. The entire procedure, which included fat transfers, resulted in a shapelier figure.

Overall body

In her book Hustle and Heart, Kailyn said she long struggled with feeling inadequate.

 “This is rarely something you ever completely get over,” she wrote. “It’s nice to think that the ultimate goal would be to feel totally at peace with my body, whatever it looks like. But in reality, that’s something that has to be maintained continuously.”

Breast Size

Kailyn told fans she was thinking about getting a boob job in January 2018 but decided against it.

A few months later, she discussed wanting a breast reduction on her podcast, “Coffee Convos,” telling fans her “massive” chest was “weighing” her down. 

“When my trainer came here the other day, he took all my measurements to do the weight loss stuff, I was like, he went to obviously measure my chest and stuff too, checking everything … I wear a 36DDD, we talked about that before, when he took my measurements, it was 44 inches!” she said in July 2018. “I don’t think I’m even wearing the right size bra. I don’t even think there is a 44DDD … I’m so big and I’m super nervous and hopeful that I can get the surgery.”

After welcoming babies No. 6 and No. 7 in November 2023, Kailyn revealed that she plans to get a breast reduction when she gets closer to her “goal weight.”

Face

Kailyn hinted that she may consider more work down the line on the January 18, 2022, episode of her “Baby Mamas No Drama” podcast.

“I went for a consultation for a nose job,” the Delaware homeowner told cohost Vee Rivera about the procedure she may do next, adding, “What I have is called over-rotation.”

 The reality star mom also discussed how she was considering a breast reduction and lift, but she wanted to reach her goal weight first amid her weight loss journey, per the instruction of her doctor.

Getting Real

During a June 2022 episode of her “Baby Mamas No Drama” podcast, she admitted to cohost Vee Rivera that her midsection is still numb from her 2016 tummy tuck from .

“From my belly button down, I have no feeling,” she confessed. “Like if I got a tattoo or C-section, I don’t even know if they’d have to numb me because I have no feeling there, none.”

She also revealed that her belly button is “fake” after it was sculpted during the initial procedure.

In response to Kail’s claims, Dr. Michael “Dr. Miami” Salzhauer exclusively told In Touch: “First of all, I love Kailyn. Second, it is common to lose sensation below the belly button after a tummy tuck. Most times it returns within 1-2 years, but not always.”

“It’s not a sign that your tummy tuck was botched, it’s just a normal consequence of the anatomy. When you remove the extra skin, some nerves are obviously removed along with it. Most times they grow back, but again, not always,” he explained. “Whenever she is ready for her next mommy makeover, I would love to be her surgeon again.”
