Traffic Violations Bureau

The Traffic Violations Bureau handles cases involving minor driving offenses that occur in Richmond County,  giving the violator the option of posting a bond (paying a fine) that will be forfeited in lieu of a court appearance. When an individual posts a cash bond and it is forfeited it is construed as an admission of guilt. Certain, more serious violations require a court appearance. Serious violations are charges that do not appear on the Traffic Violations Bureau Bond Order or any traffic violations resulting in an accident.
Citations may be paid on line, by phone, in person or by mail.
