Siesta Key Beach is absolutely magnificent! We visited on January 1st, and it was the perfect way to start the year. The weather was ideal, and while the water was cool, it was refreshing and added to the charm of the experience. The white, powdery sand is unlike anything we've seen before—soft and cool to the touch. However, it’s quite deep in some areas, so I’d recommend leaving the wagon at home. The beach is incredibly well-maintained, with plenty of free public parking, which is a huge plus. There are clean public restrooms, including a family option, but be prepared for some lines on busy days. The snack bar and restrooms are uniquely located on the second floor of the structure, accessible via a long ramp, which is a thoughtful touch for accessibility. Despite visiting on an exceptionally crowded day, the sheer size of the beach meant there was plenty of space to spread out and relax. There are many after-swim washing stations, volleyball courts, and even a playground for kids, making it perfect for families. Siesta Key Beach is a slice of paradise that truly lives up to its reputation. We can’t wait to visit again! Five stars, hands down.
We attended a silent piano concert here, and had a picnic of bagels and lox. The sand is white and powdery, and it's beautiful. This beach gets crowded sometimes, esp in the evenings and afternoons. Sometimes that's the vibe I'm going for, but other times I have my children, and I prefer a calmer, less populated beach/time of day. You can find shark teeth; it's a gorgeous beach that has earned its fame.

Siesta Key is wonderful. Softest sand around. Beach is very walkable and easy to get in and out of water (no ledge or steep incline like some other beaches). Clean restrooms and nice little snack bar and beach shop. Getting on and off the island and parking at peak times is challenging; patience, my friends. It is sooo worth it! Enjoy!
Sandi M — Google review
Beautiful! Soft fluffy sands and clean. If you want the beach less people early or late visit is recommended. Afternoons are very busy. We left at 5pm and took an hour just to get to the bridge. Otherwise a must see
Tiffany L — Google review
I've lived in Florida for 13 years, and I've traveled the world. This it by-far the nicest beach I have ever visited. It's very well maintained, there are always lifeguards on duty, there is no litter, and parking is free!
Noah D — Google review
As far as a beach goes, it's hard to beat this one, especially without leaving the country! Amazing FINE white sand that really is like sugar, if not finer. Parking can be tough. Snack stand is quick and decent and does sell alcohol. The drum circle on Sunday evenings(at sunset)is very cool.

Ah, Siesta Key Beach—where the sand is so white and powdery, you might mistake it for a bakery's finest flour. This beach has been consistently recognized for its beauty, ranking as the best beach in Florida and among the top in the U.S. and the world by Tripadvisor in 2024. Visitors rave about the soft, cool sand and the expansive shoreline that offers plenty of space, even on busy days. Families appreciate the lifeguards on duty and the clean facilities, making it a great spot for kids to collect shells and play safely. However, be prepared for a bit of a trek from the parking lot to the water, and keep an eye on Red Tide reports to ensure optimal beach conditions. So, pack your sunscreen, bring your sense of humor, and get ready to enjoy one of Florida's most celebrated beaches!
Great beach with snack stand and bar. You can bring drinks on the beach. The walk from the parking lot to the beach is a long hike. A real long hike. Not enough parking.

I forgot our private gate code (the kids took my phone and stuff back to the hotel) and was stuck on the beach before someone came and let me out. There seriously is no way off this section of the beach. You can walk down for free; but be prepared to walk 30-45 minutes back to Sieste Key!
Spent an evening wandering the beach for an hour just before sunset. Would have stayed longer for sunset but our parking time had run out ( per hour, pay by plate on machine or phone, less than 10 minute walk across the street behind restaurants). We did pass about 10 free parking spaces down the beach access lane. Beautiful, soft sand. Warm water. Nice atmosphere of other people enjoying the beach. Lots of condos and beach rentals.

Crescent Beach ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beach in Siesta Key, Sarasota, FL, USA Sylvia 3⭐️= average/good To visit this beach you need to be staying or living in one Siesta condos, houses or hotels on this side if the island. There is no parking available just to visit Crescent. You’ll have to go to Siesta Beach to park. This beach is full of walkers mostly in the morning but all day long there are thousands of people walking. Each of the beach front properties are flagged off for their guests. You can bring your own chair if you’re staying across the street and sit waters edge. Remember to check the tides schedule for best time to go out. Red Tide (the algae bloom caused by chemical spills) is usually between April & November, smells like a toilet if wind is blowing toward the gulf, it’s ok. Look up Red Tide Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission for latest guidance. The plus of this beach the most beautiful sunsets and a great place if you like to pick up a shell or two as a souvenir. Good for families and adults of all ages.

We've been coming to this area for years now. Seems like the famous beach north of this one has gotten drastically more popular since the last time we were here. I'm glad we ended up here in Crescent beach. There are many benefits. 1. It's a shorter walk to the water. 2. The water is calmer. 3. No incline or decline to get into water. 4. Less people. There's only one bad thing in my book. I'm not going to deduct stars but the ditch drainage/street water drainage comes out on the beach and makes pools. I'm not sure if that's normal or what but it kind of grossed me out. Still didn't take away the beauty.
What a zoo. Major parking lot with long walk to the shore. Best super fine white sand I've seen but hard packed. Super packed with people and condos with the private property flags. Showers and restrooms, but start walking before you need the facilities. It's a long walk. Reminds me of Los Angeles but cleaner.
Brandon N — Google review
Crescent Beach has the finest sand that feels so soothing as you walk on it. The beach spans for miles and has so much space that it doesn’t feel crowded. There are options for kayaking and fishing. There is a trolley that you can use to quickly get to the village where there are shops and restaurants. I absolutely love it here for a peaceful and relaxing day. ☀️🙂

Absolutely gorgeous. Crystal clear waters, very clean and amazing white sands. Absolutely recommend it
Great beach, less crowded than Siesta and if lucky, you can park at access #12! More shells and the water was oerfect.

Nice little beach with soft sand and clear water. The weather was perfect, and it wasn’t crowded at all, which made for a relaxing day. Definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for a quiet spot to unwind.
We arrived around 10am on a weekend, and there was lots of available parking. Parking is free. The beach is literally just feet away from the parking area so it's easy to carry your things over. There was plenty of room on the beach so it never felt crowded, but it did get more busy in the afternoon. In the parking area there are clean restrooms and showers for rinsing off. The sand is more coarse than the other Siesta Key beaches, but no crowds and easy parking. No snorkeling is possible due to visibility and currents.
Thomas G — Google review
(Not really) a Hidden Gem! Do yourself a favor and drive a few extra minutes south from the massive, sprawling, crowded Siesta beach and come here. The drive is fun looking at all the beachside properties. Parking is easy, free, and right next to the beach. It does not have the same level of facilities such as a lifeguard, but the walk is very close to the beach. It's narrower, and the sand, though great, is not as powder soft. Much less PEOPLE, which to me is a good thing. The beach has fun and bars, and I got to witness dolphin breaching! It's called Turtle Beach for a reason and there are many condoned off spots where nests have been laid. I'd be OK if entire sections were condoned off but at least there is some protections. Really nice beach.
Paul L — Google review
Located on the tranquil southern end of Siesta Key, Turtle Beach has been our cherished spot for years in Sarasota, offering a serene escape from the bustling tourist areas. What immediately captivates us about Turtle Beach is its unspoiled natural beauty. Unlike the iconic white sands of Siesta Beach, Turtle Beach boasts a more traditional sandy shoreline that feels wonderfully inviting. The sand here warms gently under the sun, perfect for leisurely strolls or simply lounging with a good book. It's a beach that exudes tranquility and authenticity, away from the usual tourist hustle. While Turtle Beach does not have lifeguards on duty, which is worth noting for safety-conscious beachgoers, its amenities are thoughtfully designed to enhance comfort and convenience. The picnic areas, offering views of the lagoon rather than the ocean, provide idyllic spots for enjoying a meal amidst nature's beauty. Ample parking ensures easy access even during peak times, although trailer parking for the boat ramp can be somewhat limited. For outdoor enthusiasts, Turtle Beach offers both a kayak launch area with a washing station and an actual boat ramp that comfortably accommodates boats up to about 25 feet. This versatility makes it a favorite for water activities, from leisurely paddling to adventurous boating trips exploring nearby waters teeming with marine life. Living in Sarasota, Turtle Beach remains our go-to destination for its laid-back atmosphere and stunning surroundings. Whether we're seeking solitude or sharing the beach's beauty with friends and family, Turtle Beach never fails to provide a peaceful retreat. In conclusion, Turtle Beach in Sarasota continues to exceed our expectations with its natural charm, warm sands, and thoughtful amenities. While it's important to note the absence of lifeguards and the specific views of the lagoon from picnic areas, Turtle Beach's serene ambiance and outdoor offerings make it an essential destination on Siesta Key. Whether you're a local seeking a tranquil escape or a visitor exploring Sarasota's treasures, Turtle Beach offers a memorable experience that invites you to return time and again.

Great public beach, a bit of a local hidden secret. Easy access from the parking lot. Sand is nice, clean and water can be calm with sand bars. Walk from end to end is about 30 minutes. Dolphins, manatees, rays, various birds and fish can be seen.
Paul M — Google review
Wasn't crowded and the parking is FREE! Wash stations are in a bit of a weird spot, but it gets the job done. There's even a playground for the kiddos!
Bradley D — Google review
This beach is quite remote, and not as crowded as its sister beaches. The surf is very mellow and the sand is white and soft. A wonderful place if you want to relax by the beach without the commotion of others.
An absolute gem. This beach was much less crowded than the other popular beaches in this area. Beautiful water and sand. The sand isn’t as white as siesta key beach but the atmosphere was better suited for what I was looking for. I like to enjoy the ocean sounds and nature and this fit the bill. A heron hung out by some fisherman hoping for a snack. The water was perfect for floating. It was clean and clear and warm. I could stay here all day. One of the best beaches I’ve been to. The sunset was gorgeous. I cannot wait to return. Here is a photo of the sand at turtle beach vs the sand at siesta key. Turtle on the left and siesta on the right. Parking is super close and free.

Great selection of vendors for a small market. Vendors provide pretty good variety of things at their booths. I enjoy this small town market, the local vendors are happy to give local recommendations as well for other things to see & do

More of a craft market this time of year. Only 1 tent with fruit and veggies. But I question the freshness. Oranges were moldy, mango was moldy.
Danelle S — Google review
A really sweet little Farmers Market of 18-24 vendors - all different kinds. Our party purchased handmade soap, a dog toy, bourbon cake, salad dressing, fresh produce, souvenirs, and CBD cream!
Maria D — Google review
This is a craft market not a farmers market as there is only one booth that has produce. This was disappointing for us as we went specifically for produce and most of what the one booth offered was clearly not fresh. If you like to check out different crafts and hand made wares then I would say check it out. If you are looking for fresh fruits and veggies then dont waste your time here like we did.
Fun petite market in the Villages with a variety of edible and non-edible goods. Music man was talented and The Bread Bro pastries were a hit.

I visited this shop about a year ago. This a fun boutique shop with unique clothing and gifts without the "boutique" prices. Our sales associate (whom I believe is the owner) was helpful without being smothering or pushy. We had a blast trying on clothes and left with an entirely new outfit! I would recommend taking a peek in if you are visiting Siesta Key.
