About The Police Department

Since its inception on July 7, 1955, the Gardendale Police Department has strived to provide professional law enforcement services to the citizens of Gardendale, and their hard work has paid off: the area has one of the lowest crime rates in Jefferson County.

Mission Statement
The Gardendale Police Department has dedicated itself to protecting the lives and possessions of those in our community, decreasing the occurrence and fear of crime, and boosting safety. We strive to do our duty with respect and integrity, honoring the highest ethical standards to create trust in the police force. Additionally, we are committed to improving the overall quality of life in our community.

Sex Offender Notice

Through Watch Systems and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the Gardendale Police Department has established a procedure and registry for keeping the public up-to-date on where sex offenders are located.
