Detention

The Sugar Land Detention Center is located at 1200 S SH 6, Sugar Land, TX. The facility is a temporary housing facility that opened in May 1996.  Anyone arrested by the Sugar Land Police Department is brought to the detention center and processed by our detention officers. Detainees will wait to be seen and magistrated by our Sugar Land Municipal Court Judge and released, or transferred to the Fort Bend County Jail.

The Sugar Land Detention Center is operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Currently, the detention center is staffed with a sergeant and five detention officers. Our detention officers are responsible for the care, custody, and control of all detainees brought to our facility.
