Easy Homemade Jolly Rancher Vodka
Impress your party guests with this delicious drink made from their favorite candy. The best part about this jolly rancher cocktail is that you can easily make different flavors by simply using the actual hard jolly rancher candies with your favorite brand of vodka. It’s amazing that you can make popular cocktails with actual candy!
Ingredients for Jolly Rancher Shot Recipe
- Jolly Rancher Candy – 10 of each flavor
- 14-16 ounces of vodka for each flavor
You can grab your jolly rancher candy at your local grocery store or online here. In addition to the candy you will also need a 16 oz mason jar or similar separate jars with an airtight lid for each mixture of flavored vodka. These mason jars work great, found here.
How to Make the Best Jolly Rancher Shots
The first step in making your boozy jolly rancher drinks is to unwrap the hard candy and place them in the bottom of your glass jars. Make sure not to mix flavors, each jar gets its own flavor.
Next, fill each jar almost up to the top. Leave enough room to be able to add the lid without overflow, while leaving enough room to shake the contents.
Secure the lid and store in a cool dry place for about a week until the jolly rancher candies have dissolved. After 3 or 4 days give your candy-infused vodka a good shake. You don’t even need a cocktail shaker for this fun treat.
Once your jolly rancher candies are dissolved you have the best-tasting candy liquid in the form of fruity vodka cocktails.
Enjoy the fruity taste of the candied vodka right away or store it in the fridge or pantry until happy hour.
Jolly Rancher Shot Recipe Tips
- How long will this delicious cocktail last? If you don’t finish it during your next party then it should last the same amount of time than any typical bottle of vodka would last.
- For those with a stronger sweet tooth, you can add more jolly ranchers for a stronger taste, and of course, less for a lighter taste.
- When the jolly ranchers dissolve they will settle at the bottom of the jar. For best results simply shake the jar each time before pouring your tasty party shot.
- You can make a kid version of this fun cocktail by swapping out the vodka for ginger ale, or clear soda water.
