Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Amy Earnhardt were engaged on July 17, 2015, and married on New Year's Eve at Richard Childress' Childress Vineyards in Lexington, North Carolina. They welcomed their first daughter, Isla Rose Earnhardt, on April 30, 2018. In a 2019 interview with Ashley Stroehlein of Charlotte-based television station, WCNC, Earnhardt shed light on her future family plans.

"It’s been interesting," Earnhardt said. "We have a very dynamic headstrong little girl, and she’s so much fun and very sweet, but she’s a climber, she’s into everything so she keeps us on our toes. But I am absolutely loving being a mother, and we’re thinking about even expanding the family. I’m not pregnant, but we’re looking to do that in the near future probably."

Meanwhile, Dale Earnhardt Jr., who had retired, was set to return to the Xfinity Series at Darlington Raceway. On being asked about his return, Amy Earnhardt said:

"It’s funny how race car drivers say they’re retiring. They never seem to really hang it up. He’s got this 'last' race in Darlington, and Isla and I are gonna go down and watch him, of course. I’m excited for him. He’s excited about it."

The couple were eventually blessed with their second daughter, Nicole Lorraine Earnhardt, just a little over a year after the interview with WCNC, in October 2020. Here is a look at the happy family (via @mrsamyearnhardt on Instagram):

Dale Earnhardt Jr., son of NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt, began his NASCAR career in the Busch Series in 1996. He gained recognition with consecutive championships in 1998 and 1999. Throughout his career, Earnhardt Jr. secured 50 race wins across NASCAR's top two divisions. Despite his impressive achievements, he never claimed a Cup Series title, unlike his father, who won the championship seven times, cementing the Earnhardt family's legacy in motorsports.
