BMF co-founder Terry "Southwest-T" Flenory, 50, is expected to be released from prison on Tuesday (May 5), citing COVID-19 health concerns, according to The Detroit News. Southwest-T had his 30-year sentence reduced from 2032 to 2026 two years ago, and amid COVID-19 concerns, he was given an earlier release.

The publication added that Southwest-T's brother, Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory, 51, has also requested to seek compassionate release from a federal prison in Oregon on April 22. Big Meech is not scheduled to be released from prison until October 2031.

The brothers were sentenced to 30 years in federal prison in 2008 for allegedly running a national drug ring for 15 years. They were arrested in 2005, along with more than 100 co-defendants, and investigators seized  million worth of assets, including cash, jewelry, 13 homes across the U.S., and three dozen vehicles.

Southwest-T's former defense lawyer Steve Fishman spoke about his release, stating, "Terry Flenory is a really good guy and anyone who knows him would agree with that. He has served a lot of time, and I am very happy to hear he’s coming home."
