Challenge Quests are unique hunts that test the ability of hunters to complete a hunt within a specified amount of time. Players who take on these quests will only be able to use pre-determined equipment and only team up with another player instead of the usual three.
These hunts, like Event Quests, are only available for a limited time.
Support Hunters can also be called in during these quests, if any player does not want to hunt with another live player.
Time records with Support Hunters are also counted when making attempts to get the fastest clear time possible.
How to Bring Support Hunters in Quests
In Challenge Quests, players can achieve ranks like A, B, and C depending on their completion time. It's likely that getting a higher rank will yield better rewards like more Pinnacle Coins and exclusive Pendants.
Challenge Quests will requires slaying the target monster to complete the hunt and set a record time. This means that monsters during the quest cannot be captured in an attempt to set a faster time, as the target needs to be killed.

While Arena, Challenge, and Free Challenge quest types are all found at the Arena Counter in the Grand Hub, they have different requirements for taking them on.
Arena Quests and Challenge Quests only provide a limited selection of pre-determined weapon and armor sets, meaning players will need to play an unfamiliar Weapon Type and a build different than the one they're used to. In addition, only two players can join. On the other hand, Free Challenge Quests do not share these restrictions, and can be joined with a party of four and any equipment like conventional quests.
Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests, unlike Arena Quests, are similar to Event Quests in that they are only available for a limited time.
Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests were specifically stated to yield new Pendants as a reward.
Other special Pendants are available if you get a fast personal time, and even a world ranking. Some extremely rare pendants might only be available to the very best players.
List of Pendants
Challenge Quests will reward you with unique coins, called Pinnacle Coins, which serve as exclusive Crafting Materials to make new armor.
Pinnacle Coin Location: How to Get and Uses
You can also get Pick-a-Meal Vouchers from completing Challenge Quests, which you can use to order signature dishes from any region at the Grand Hub's canteen.
These dishes are the same ones from the region's respective Meal Invitation.
How to Get and Use Pick-a-meal Voucher
To access the Arena Quest Counter which holds Challenge Quests, players will first need to unlock the The Grand Hub, which is made available at Hunter Rank 16.
After reaching HR 16, players can visit Suja and speak to Tetsuzan to unlock The Grand Hub, where the Arena Quest Counter is available to all hunters.
The Grand Hub Explained
Challenge Quests were added along with Title Update 1 on April 4, 2025.
Challenge Quests, Arena Quests, and Free Challenge Quests can be accessed at the Grand Hub, which was also added in the update.
