Crystal Temple is the 4th game of the Fireboy and Watergirl franchise and it has 36 levels. It is known as being the hardest temple to complete of all the others. The reason it is considered hard is partly because of the confusing nature of the crystal portals. Crystal portals allow the characters to teleport from one side of the board to a different one, making it harder to find the solution on every level.
This game of Fireboy and Watergirl is similar to the previous 3 games. Just like in the Forest Temple or light temple, the players must solve each level in the fastest possible time and reach the exit doors while collecting red, blue and gray diamonds along the way. To finish a level the two players must work together and help each other clear the way to the exit door.
The Crystal temple introduces crystal portals, a new twist to the game. Crystal portals allow players to teleport themselves to a different place on the board. Some portals must be activated by using levers or buttons. Portals can also teleport objects like boxes which you can push through them. Pay attention to the colors of portals, a white portal will teleport to another white portal and a black one will teleport to another black portal and so on. If you are not careful you might teleport yourself directly onto a pool that will kill your character.
