It’s been many years since I’ve come to Marks. It says they have carts every day but they did not. We were there on a Friday and there was a decent amount of people there, but no carts I found the menu very limited and kind of expensive I’m not sure I would go back again, but we did get was tasty, but it was just OK because it wasn’t really warm. I think they might be surviving on the reputation.

I have always said that brunch is a sport and when I invited to check out Mark’s Duck House, I was in.

Some of the better dim sum in the area. You often have to ask for things to be heated, though. The shumai and other dumpling type things are the best. We always get the clams in black bean sauce. The duck could be a little crispier, esp considering it’s called Mark’s DUCK house. Very old school and there’s always a line on weekends. This is a family favorite.

We ordered the Orange Duck, which is crispy duck covered in orange sauce. The duck tasted good and the skin was so crispy, I love the texture. The orange sauce kind of overpowered the duck flavor a little bit. We also ordered some dim sum. I really liked the taste of the shu mai. The server we had was extremely kind and friendly, I appreciated him very much. He kept our water refilled and checked up on us. If you are looking for somewhere to eat duck, and some other smaller appetizers, give this place a try. They also have Chinese beer and Thai beer which is nice.

Make sure you inquire the prices of the dishes. The roast pork was and the lobster was . When I go to dim sum I expect prices to be or less. Also make sure you count the number of dishes and the marking of the lines. We got charged extra for a dish and they made a big deal about it. We were like either deducted the extra charge or give us a dish to balance out the check. Also we had order 8 dishes for and was still very hungry.

My family and I have been going here for years. Everyone’s favorite Peking Duck is a popular choice. The crispy skin something to yearn for.

Highly recommend Dim Sum here. My family is very picky about Dim Sum and we are all satisfied here. I also ordered seasonal fried soft shell crabs and oyster sauce clams. I love seafood for sure. The waiter was super friendly and professional. It was very busy restaurant while we were there but he managed very well. He constantly added ice water to our cups and added hot water to our tea pot without we asked him. The best dum sum service I have never had in DC region. I have to come back to try their duck.
