Columbus police investigate two overnight shootings, victims expected to survive

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Officers responded to two separate shootings early this morning, both resulting in non-fatal injuries.

LOCAL | Columbus officer fires gun after witnessing gunfire exchange in Short North

The first incident occurred at 1:00 a.m. when officers were dispatched to a local hospital for a gunshot victim. The victim reported that the shooting took place at the intersection of E. Brighton Road and Oaklawn Street. The individual received treatment and is expected to survive.

Shortly after, at 1:07 a.m., officers were called to the 2700 block of Cleveland Avenue for another shooting. A person was found with a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital. This victim is also expected to survive.
