LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As the devastating wildfires ravage Southern California, rumors have been doing the rounds that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs' Los Angeles property has also been destroyed.

The rapper, who is currently facing serious charges with a trial set for May, is making headlines again.

Photos of his property allegedly engulfed in flames have gone viral, adding fuel to the fire. But what’s the truth behind these claims? Let’s unravel the facts.

It should be noted that the house would be under investigation in a couple of days where many names would be involved in the case, unfortunately that will no longer be possible.💨🔥 pic.twitter.com/9D2uAtaa2F

Claim: Sean 'Diddy' Combs' Los Angeles mansion has been burnt down amid wildfires

A viral post on X (formerly Twitter) claims that Sean 'Diddy' Combs' 17,000-square-foot mansion in Los Angeles has been completely destroyed in the fire.

The tweet reads, "P Diddy's mansion in California has been completely consumed by fire.🔥 It should be noted that the house would be under investigation in a couple of days where many names would be involved in the case, unfortunately that will no longer be possible.💨🔥"

A Facebook user named Fuentes Liliana also posted on January 9, Thursday, sharing an image of the mansion in flames. The caption mirrored the one from the X post, claiming that the house had been engulfed by the inferno.

The image, showing the mansion burning, quickly gained traction, with countless reactions, shares, and views.

While the post has been widely circulated, it’s important to verify the information with credible sources before drawing any conclusions as many people have taken the claim at face value without checking its authenticity.

False: Sean 'Diddy' Combs' property has not been destroyed in Los Angeles wildfires

After investigating the claim that Sean 'Diddy' Combs' Los Angeles mansion was destroyed in the wildfires, evidence has shown that the rumor is false.

A closer look at the image circulating online reveals that it dates back to 2014. According to Google, the photo was taken by a Cincinnati Enquirer photojournalist, capturing an aerial shot of an Indian Hill mansion in Ohio, which was engulfed in flames reaching up to 30 feet.

Further investigation reveals that the burned mansion in the photo was a 22-room property, with 90% of it destroyed by the fire, requiring nearly 100 firefighters to battle the blaze.

In contrast, Diddy's LA home, located at 200 South Mapleton Drive, is much smaller, with only 10 bedrooms. It is not in the path of the Palisades fire, which is raging across Southern California, as confirmed by Newsweek.

Finally, another piece of evidence comes from television host John Cremeans, who tweeted, "To All The P Diddy Diddlers Out There: No, P Diddy's house did NOT catch on fire! Reports from Newsweek indicate that his Los Angeles home was not in the path of the Palisades fire. Rumors on social media regarding his house burning down have been debunked."

While Diddy's mansion may be safe, many celebrities have lost their homes in the wildfires, including Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, Mandy Moore, Anna Faris, Paris Hilton, Billy Crystal, James Woods, and Adam Brody, among others.
